The five-year, Rs 500-crore India Opportunities Fund III, will be the latest investment vehicle for the mid-sized risk capital firm, which currently manages assets of Rs 210 crore, and counts home appliances company Whirlpool of India and consumer electronics company Onida among its portfolio. "If you look at the Indian ecosystem, it shows that there are a number of small and mid-cap companies that are under-researched, leading to an inefficient market, and we expect to find numerous under-priced opportunities among them," said Manoj Thakur, CEO, Avendus PE investment Advisors.
